The Blythe doll world is filled with gorgeous shots of collectors Blythe dolls.  I use a Canon 7.1 Powershot A620.  Canons have the fastest processors and the pictures are so amazing.  The camera doesn't pick up as much light though and often the pics turn out dark without flash.  I also find that when there are amazing backgrounds the camera blurs them a bit too.  I will definitely look into NIKON for my next digital camera because I hear such great things.

Taking pictures of Blythes in natural light turns out the most appealing pictures.  Also, I always use light backdrops.  Some Blythe fans expect picture perfect shots so ensure that not even a hair is out of place and that your dolls have adorable shoes, socks/tights and cute fashions on.  Take your time, take a lot of shots with different angels and get comfortable with your camera.  I love taking travel shots with Blythe because she just shines.  Outdoor shots are my favorite but since I don't have a backyard I have to use a background which I usually make with 2 white storage box lids.
